Job summary

AEP is seeking an entry level technical associate to support planning, engineering, design, analysis and operation of Company equipment and facilities. You will work with experienced teams and gain hands-on exposure to utility processes.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent (or an associate degree) with related utility experience and a valid driver's license; strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related utility industry work experience (2 years) or Associate Degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 2–4 years of related utility industry work experience as an alternative path to the above.
• Solid communication skills for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry level technical work related to planning, engineering, design, analysis, and operation of Company equipment and facilities.
• Assist employees in handling defined portions of routine problems when beneficial to AEP.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
