Job summary

OU Health CT Technologist I performs routine CT exams per established protocols with guidance. Responsibilities include preparing patients, administering contrast, transferring images to EMR/PACS, and maintaining equipment.

Must graduate from an ARRT-defined program, obtain ARRT certification within 12 months, and hold BLS at hire. No CT experience required; growth through education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT.
• ARRT(RT) certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA) required upon hire.
• No CT experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient-centered care under supervision.
• Prepare patients and correlate history with physician-ordered exams.
• Safely administer contrast per protocol.
• Recognize imaging artifacts and correct as needed.
• Communicate with patients and care team to support outcomes.
• Transfer images to EMR/PACS and document studies.
• Perform operator-level quality control and basic equipment maintenance.
• Participate in continuing education and research initiatives.
• Assist with inventory tasks as needed.
