SmartFinancial in Newport Beach, CA, is hiring a Customer Success Manager 1 to help insurance agencies maximize value on our platform. This entry-level, in-office role is designed for relationship builders who enjoy problem solving and driving measurable results.

You’ll manage a growing book of business, re‑engage customers with a win‑back dialer, and identify opportunities to grow monthly spend while hitting KPIs. A clear path to CSM2 and Strategic CSM awaits high performers.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in customer service, customer success, sales, or related client-facing roles preferred.
• Proven ability to meet KPIs, activity goals, or other performance metrics.
• Experience with insurance agencies, insurance tech, lead generation, or marketplace businesses is valued.
• Experience with high-volume calling and regular customer communication.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills to understand customer needs and communicate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Grow: Manage a book of 100+ active accounts and identify opportunities to increase utilization and monthly spend.
• Win Back: Re-engage inactive and low-spending customers using the win-back dialer to create growth opportunities.
• Optimize: Review performance, pricing, targeting, emails, calls, and settings to maximise platform value.
• Drive Results: Help customers improve KPIs like cost per acquisition, close rate, lead quality, and ROI.
• Retain: Build trusted relationships and proactively address issues impacting satisfaction, utilization, or retention.
• Own It: Be the primary contact for assigned customers with consistent communication toward business goals.
• Solve: Address questions, objections, concerns, and ad-related issues using established CS processes.
