Job summary

COUNTY OF LEHIGH is seeking an entry-level social services worker to perform beginning-level case management duties and support Family Service Plans in Lehigh County, PA. The role includes home visits, court-related assistance, and ongoing training under supervision.

Employees receive structured on-the-job training, with mandatory Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center training as part of skill development and ongoing supervision from a Casework Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Beginning-level social service and case management duties.
• Ability to assess family functioning, strengths, and needs.
• Communicate with children, parents, and caregivers during visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing family functioning and needs to support FSPs.
• Participate in home visits and interviews with families and caregivers.
• Support Family Service Plan development and implementation.
• Provide basic guidance on parenting, housing, and accessing resources.
