Choctaw Casino & Resort Durant is hiring an Entry Level Cook 1 for multiple dining venues. This role offers hands-on experience in a high-volume kitchen environment and the chance to learn from experienced culinary leaders.

You will prep ingredients, follow recipes, maintain sanitation, and support daily kitchen operations. The position requires English proficiency, the ability to obtain a Food Safety Certification, and a commitment to quality and teamwork. Weekend and holiday schedules apply.

Responsibilities

• Cook using methods such as grill, fry, bake, steam, braise, boil.
• Ensure proper seasoning, garnishing, and visual appeal.
• Follow standardized recipes and prep methods.
• Taste food before service to ensure quality.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling and rotation.
• Assist with kitchen setup, service and cleanup.
• Minimize waste through portioning and production control.
• Keep work area clean, organized and safe.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and write English

• 6 months of culinary experience OR equivalent culinary education/experience
