ECS Limited is seeking a Field Technician to join our Nashville team. No prior experience is required as you will be trained by experienced professionals to safely observe, test, and sample materials at construction sites.

As you progress within 90 days, you will earn certifications and see a pay increase. The role emphasizes safety, communication with teams, and development through OSHA and other program opportunities.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Valid driver4 license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM laboratory standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) on project sites under guidance of senior staff.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and lab tests per industry standards and methods.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction from tests and inspections; assist with drafting and admin duties.
• Communication: Maintain daily contact with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report site changes and testing needs.
• Training and Development: Receive ECS training and document findings with precision per engineering practices.
