Job summary

TTL, Inc. is hiring a Construction Quality Assurance Technician to support CCR and Landfill projects in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role focuses on inspecting clay and geosynthetic liners, monitoring materials, and assisting with testing, with travel up to 70% and per diem lodging provided.

The candidate should have a High School diploma, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license. Lifting up to 50+ lbs and varying weather conditions are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services on CCR and Landfill projects, including clay and geosynthetic liner inspections.
• Monitor, observe, and sample materials used in construction work.
• May assist with or conduct Construction Materials Testing services.
• Represent TTL, Inc. at professional or client meetings.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets; perform with supervision.
• Potential to work off-hours and weekends; travel up to 70% of the time with per diem and lodging provided.

Construction Quality Assurance Technician – Tuscaloosa, AL

Starting pay $18.00/hour – No experience required

$1.00/hour raise upon completion of ACI Field Grade 1 Technician Certification within first 60 days.

$1.50/hour raise and $300.00 spot bonus upon completion of Geosynthetic Certification Institute-Inspectors Certification Program (GCI-ICP) within first 8 months.

Additional Hourly Raises Upon Completion Of Advanced Certifications.

Description

• Provide CQA Services on CCR and Landfill projects including but not limited to Clay and Geosynthetic Liner Inspections.
• Monitors, observes, and samples the materials used in construction work.
• May assist with or conduct Construction Materials Testing services.
• Represent the company at professional and/or client meetings.
• Monitors, observes, and samples the materials used in construction work.
• Prepares daily reports and data sheets. Operates with close to moderate supervision.
• May be required to work off-hours and weekends, travel overnight in state and out of state may be required (70% overall). Per Diem and lodging package provided.
• Must possess a high level or verbal and written communication skills to be successful in this role.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. College coursework or degree preferred. Emphasis in physical sciences and/or math.
• Ability to communicate professionally orally and proficient in writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Perform heavy lifting up to 50+lbs and ability to work in seasonal conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.)

Preferred

• Certified or ability to certify for the Compacted Clay and Geosynthetic Liner Inspector (GCI-ICP) course within 6 months.
• Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to quickly learn how to use additional software/online applications.
