Job summary

Structural Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for our Career Development (PECD) program, based in the Dallas region. The role emphasizes in-field learning and hands-on development across scheduling, estimating, budgeting, safety, quality control, and client relations.

We aim to grow engineers into company leaders through mentorship and a competency-based path toward project management, estimating, and construction management, with extensive travel to job sites throughout the year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; Preference for Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Minimum of one relevant internship experience.
  • Ability and eagerness to travel 30-50% of the year.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional documentation and organizational skills.
  • Aptitude for solving problems.
  • Reliable transportation from the office to job-sites.

Responsibilities

  • Travel 30-50% of the year to project sites.
  • Assist with scheduling and production rate tracking.
  • Assist with estimating and budget preparation.
  • Support safety management and quality control.
  • Develop business relations with clients.

In order to accomplish that, the PECD program has been structured with a competency based approach along with an emphasis on individual mentorship. Our Project Engineers will build experience across multiple competencies before being promoted into the career path they desire - project management, estimating, construction management and more.

Work Travel:

This position will potentially require extensive travel! While our team is based in the DFW area, they will require extensive site-based travel for the majority of the year.

Minimum Qualifications:
