Job summary

County Materials in Astatula, Florida is hiring a Plant Team member to join our concrete pipe and precast manufacturing operations. You will prepare, assemble, and maintain molds, forms, reinforcement, and related materials under guidance to keep production safe, efficient, and continuous.

This entry-level role includes training on equipment, safety, and production processes, with hands-on tasks such as staging materials, reading simple instructions, and supporting crews to meet daily production

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 0–2 years of related manufacturing/production experience.
• Ability to exercise good judgment around machinery and unload materials.
• Strong teamwork mindset and flexibility to support production needs.
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing workloads.
• Safety-minded approach to all tasks and willingness to learn and cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, and stage molds and forms before each production cycle.
• Read and follow basic production instructions, layouts and drawings.
• Place and secure reinforcement using tie guns or hand tools.
• Install concrete accessories and components as instructed.
• Maintain cleanliness of forms, tools and production areas.
• Stage materials to support continuous concrete production.
• Operate small forklifts and other material-handling equipment after training.
• Apply release oil to molds and components as directed.
• Assist with moving and setting up headers, pallets, and equipment for pours.
• Operate overhead/jib cranes after training to move materials safely.
• Participate in safety meetings and plant clean-up activities.
