Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete, perform slump tests, and verify soil compaction at diverse sites. You will document every result the same day and learn to read job sites, communicate with superintendents, and defend test outcomes with confidence.

No experience is required for entry level; we train and sponsor certifications, with pay ranging from $18 to $28 per hour and overtime where schedules run long.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying sites and weather.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• We sponsor ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
