Summary:

As a Composites Layup Technician at RACE, you will be responsible for performing tasks to help build high-performance parts for automotive seating systems. This role will be trained to work with carbon fiber and other cutting‑edge materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with written work instructions, standard procedures, and processes to assemble composite materials
• Work with materials like carbon fiber, fiberglass, and aramid (Kevlar)
• Use tools like routers, sanders, and hand tools to shape and finish parts
• Assist in fitting core components with attention to close tolerances
• Assist in laying out and marking dimensions and reference lines on materials to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or use templates
• Deliver quality products and services on time
• Handle materials safely and follow workplace safety
• Assist in performing non‑routine and non‑repetitive procedures in the fabrication, curing, build‑up, and assembly of various types of composite materials
• Gain basic familiarity with composite technology, including hi‑temp plastics, pre‑impregnated epoxy composite materials, graphite epoxy, wet graphite, and silicone injection molding
