Responsibilities
Handle resins and chemicals with care, maintaining quality.
Perform trimming and prepare parts for bonding.
Assist in carbon fiber layup and curing processes.
Precisely scuffing the molded surface to a prescribed location for bond prep.
Bond parts with adhesive and clean excess squeeze out.
Assist layup and curing of carbon fiber materials using pre-preg and wet layup techniques.
Perform lower complexity layups without assistance.
Prepare molds and tools for composite layup (cleaning, applying release agents).
Maintain layup tooling / fixtures for operational readiness.
Properly trims (deflashes) material / foam.
Store raw material and layup parts properly.
Understand prepreg layup techniques to avoid air pockets and surface defects.
Cut prepreg or dry fiber materials using templates or CAD patterns.
Demold and handle parts with proper PPE.
Record basic production data.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:
Handle resins, epoxies, chemicals, carbon and composite materials with appropriate care, safety and to preserve the quality of the materials and eliminating contamination, foreign debris and disruption of the weave pattern.
Part trimming and bond preparation
Using hand and power tools to trim overmold edges
Precisely scuffing the molded surface to a prescribed location for bond prep
Part bonding using appropriate adhesive application, part location techniques to avoid adhesive film disruption, and cleaning of excess squeeze out;
Assist in the layup and curing of carbon fiber materials using pre-preg and wet layup techniques.
Perform some lower complexity layups without assistance
Prepare molds and tools for composite layup (cleaning, applying release agents)
Maintains layup tooling / layup fixtures for operational readiness
