Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years customer service and/or security experience.
• Computer skills – basic ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from various software programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to remain calm and deescalate stressful or crisis situations.
• Knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques for the client population.
• Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with staff, stakeholders, and diverse clients.
• Must pass background check and have ability to access state criminal databases.
• Ability to walk about a multi-floor building quickly and frequently.
• Ability to lift and move furnishings during searches.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures, laws and contractual obligations.
• Educate new clients on facility policies and complete orientation.
• Ensure clients adhere to facility rules and regulations.
• Educate and train clients and staff on safety procedures.
• Record incidents and communicate timely to staff.
• Review logs to stay informed about issues.
• Conduct rounds to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Monitor client movement and enforce entries/logs.
• Document client room/bed assignments and medication handling.
• Coordinate and monitor meals and visitor sign-in/out.
• Prepare disciplinary and incident reports accurately.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
