Job summary

You will prepare parts, operate coating equipment, inspect quality, and follow safety guidelines to keep operations running smoothly. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks may be conducted.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Will learn to apply various painting techniques incl. powder coat, wet spray, Cerakote, hydro dip.
• Material preparation such as abrasive blasting, cleaning, dipping, masking is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts and materials for coating.
• Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application.
• Operate coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems.
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
• Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by visual inspection or QC instruments.
• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limits.
• Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash and pre-treatments.
• Ensure components are produced/coated efficiently and meet on-time quality goals.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed for a safe work environment.
• Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures.
• Maintain and repair painting equipment as needed.
• Operate loading/unloading equipment safely (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
