Job summary

Responsibilities include helping with CNC and MakerSpace tools, troubleshooting, safety enforcement, and equipment maintenance to ensure a safe, productive learning environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Entry-level CNC programming ability required.
• Entry-level CNC setup ability required.
• Enrolled in or completed SUU CNC classes and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist users with safe operation of lab equipment, including CNC and MakerSpace tools.
• Provide basic software/hardware troubleshooting for lab equipment.
• Enforce safety rules and proper equipment use.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of lab equipment.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate with supervisors for repairs.
• Prepare, operate, and shutdown lab systems and machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
• Manage lab supplies and assist with inventory and ordering.
• Ensure waste disposal and lab safety compliance.
• Help document lab procedures, manuals, and safety guidelines.
