Job summary

ECS Limited is hiring a Field Technician for our Wilmington, NC team. The role emphasizes field observations, sampling, and basic testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.

You will collect data, document site conditions, and support testing activities while maintaining customer service and ECS core values. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided and certification fees are paid by ECS.

Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Obtain basic certifications per policy
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS
• Good communication (verbal, written, reading)
• Dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented
• Limited knowledge of CMT principles
• Basic math and data entry ability
• Ability to read maps and follow directions
• Proficient with tablets, phones, and laptops

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision
• Assists with field testing activities on project sites
• Communicates with contractors, technicians, and project managers daily
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs
• Assists with daily field reports preparation and submission
• Supports basic calculations and data entry for test results
• Maintains and organizes field equipment
• Alerts supervisors to damaged or missing equipment
• Participates in project meetings when requested
• Fulfills other field and project support duties as assigned
