Job summary

Saint Francis Health System is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform phases of laboratory testing as assigned. The role requires a baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related biology/chemical science and 0–6 months of experience.

The incumbent will collect and process specimens, perform routine analytical tests under the direction of a medical technologist, monitor quality control, and assist with maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related biological/chemical science.
• Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.
• Work Experience: 0 - 6 months related laboratory experience.
• Strong PC and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process biological specimens and other substances.
• Perform and report routine analytical tests under direction of medical technologist.
• Perform and monitor quality control within predetermined limits.
• Maintenance of equipment under direction of medical technologist.
• Assist in educational activities and collaborate with students.
• Interact with internal and external customers and healthcare professionals.
