Job summary

Trihydro Corporation in Sheridan, Wyoming seeks an entry-level Civil and Water Resources Engineer to support infrastructure and water resources projects for municipalities, state agencies, irrigation districts, and private clients. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to improve water supply, wastewater, transportation, and stormwater systems.

This full-time role provides mentoring, career growth, and hands-on experience with design software, calculations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate seeking to build technical foundation in civil and water resources.
• Interest in civil infrastructure, water/wastewater, transportation, and water resources.
• Company culture prioritizes mentoring, career growth, and teamwork.
• Engineer-in-training (EIT/FE) planning within 6 months or in progress.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D or related CADD is helpful but not required.
• Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SewerGems, GIS) preferred but not required.
• Strong technical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail and quality deliverables.
• Willingness to travel to client locations and Trihydro offices.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical research and design calculations under supervision.
• Learn design and modeling software, draft figures, and prepare construction plans.
• Execute design tasks, quantity calculations, and construction cost estimates.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks.
• Research materials and coordinate with suppliers.
• Prepare technical memorandums, design reports, and permitting applications.
• Conduct field data collection, site inspections, inventories, and construction observation.
