Job summary

AMT in Herndon, VA is seeking an entry-level Site/Civil Engineer to join our design team. The role begins in May 2027 after graduation and provides opportunities to work on challenging projects and advance within the firm.

You will support construction documents and design site improvements, including grading, utilities, erosion controls, stormwater, and roadway work, with field inspections and construction administration duties as needed. The hybrid schedule combines office and remote work.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and/or Microstation.
• EIT preferred.
• Internship experience with plans, specifications, and cost estimates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and preparation of construction documents.
• Design of site and infrastructure improvements including grading, utilities, erosion control, stormwater management, site laying including roadway improvements, the preparation of calculations and reports, and site inspections and construction administration duties.
