Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Greenville, SC is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join a project team working on land development for commercial, institutional, and residential clients, from concept through construction.

You will design site layouts, grading, stormwater management, water quality BMPs, and utilities using AutoCAD Civil 3D, collaborating with surveyors, planners, and environmental professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required; Master of Science preferred.
• EIT or FE certification preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of site layouts, grading plans, and land development projects.
• Develop stormwater management systems and water quality best management practices.
• Prepare utility design plans including water, sewer, and drainage systems.
• Produce engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, planners, and environmental professionals.
• Support permitting and regulatory review processes for land development projects.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and local government agencies throughout project lifecycles.
• Support bidding and construction phase services including responding to contractor questions.
• Conduct site visits and assist with field observations.
• Contribute to project delivery from conceptual design through construction completion.
