Job summary

The City of Maypearl is seeking a civil engineer for entry- to intermediate-level work under the supervision of the City Engineer. You will support planning, design, review, construction, and delivery of municipal infrastructure and private development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.
• Two (2) years civil engineering experience preferred; municipal engineering, development review, design, or construction experience is highly desirable.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification in Texas required within 6 months of employment or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Reviews private development plans, plats, engineering studies, specifications, calculations, and related submittals for compliance with City codes, design criteria, construction standards, and applicable requirements.
• Assists with planning, design, and technical review of municipal infrastructure projects including streets, drainage, water distribution, and wastewater collection.
• Prepares and reviews calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and reports using AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and related software.
• Supports Capital Improvement Program projects through design and construction, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and consultant coordination.
• Conducts field reviews and construction observations to verify conformance with plans and resolve issues.
