Job summary

Talanto in Burlington, MA is hiring a Civil Engineering New Graduate to gain hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience from day one. This in-office, entry-level role offers mentorship, training, and a path to grow your technical and professional skills within a collaborative team.

You will participate in basic civil engineering calculations, water and sewer design, grading and stormwater tasks, and client communications while supporting project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
• Basic skills or knowledge with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and the ability to complete AutoCAD training sessions as quickly as possible.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.
• Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic civil engineering calculations, including hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, and calculations to balance site earthwork.
• Assist in designing water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems.
• Assist with grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans.
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively while building and maintaining client relationships.
• Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects and assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
