Job summary

WHKS & Co in Fargo, North Dakota is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to support municipal, transportation, water, wastewater, site development and other infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to design and analyze layouts, plans and reports.

The role focuses on learning and applying design standards, performing calculations, generating models and participating in public information meetings while developing your FE exam readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• FE exam within 6 months or ability to pass the exam.
• 0–5 years of civil design experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, reports and plans for municipal projects.
• Prepare design calculations, reports and plans for transportation projects.
• Prepare design calculations, reports and plans for site development projects.
• Prepare design calculations, reports and plans for water/wastewater projects.
• Develop 2D and 3D models using MicroStation/OpenRoads/Civil 3D.
• Assist with data collection, technical reports, quantities and design calculations.
• Assist with facilitating project-related public information meetings.
