Job summary

Lochner and Egis have joined forces to deliver transportation design expertise in Indiana. We seek entry-level civil engineers to contribute to pavement, drainage, and traffic projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across disciplines and borders.

EIT eligibility within one year is expected, with opportunities to grow through mentorship and professional development. We offer hybrid/remote options where business needs allow, a comprehensive Total Rewards program, and career growth

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; EIT eligibility within 1 year.
• 0–4 years of transportation engineering experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred).
• Working knowledge of DOT standards and procedures (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with in-person and remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex transportation design projects in Indiana.
• Create horizontal and vertical alignments and develop 3D roadway models.
• Perform calculations for pavement design, traffic, and drainage.
• Prepare design drawings, reports, specs, presentations, and cost estimates.
• Provide construction phase support with shop drawings and submittals.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate roadways and drainage systems.
