Job summary

Egis is seeking an entry‑level civil engineer in Indiana to join our transportation team. You will work on transportation design projects, creating 3D roadway models, performing engineering calculations, and producing deliverables with engineers across disciplines.

You should have a BS in Civil Engineering and may obtain EIT within a year. Familiarity with OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, with strong communication and timely delivery across remote and in-person teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 1 year is expected.
• 0–4 years of relevant transportation engineering experience.
• Familiarity with OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT standards and procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across in-person and remote teams.
• Excellent time management and organization to manage concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Create horizontal and vertical alignments and develop 3D roadway models.
• Perform pavement design, traffic, and drainage calculations.
• Prepare design drawings, reports, specs, presentations, and cost estimates.
• Provide construction phase support by reviewing submittals and contractor questions.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate roadways and drainage systems.
• Maintain thorough project documentation.

The Impact You'll Make

Work on complex transportation design projects in Indiana.
