Maitra Associates, P.C. (Maitra),an established multi-disciplined engineering design and construction management firm serving the needs of various clients in the transportation, institutional, and facilities markets,seeks an entry level civil engineer with 1-3 years of experience. Projects will include roads, underground utilities, public buildings, recreational facilities, and land use applications. This individual will assist in the design of various infrastructure projects for the public sector- municipalities, state agencies, and local school districts- and the private sector, both commercial and residential, and report directly to the Project Manager.

Duties:

• Engage in valuable interactions with external clients
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.
• Assist in preparing construction documents, including drawings and specifications for site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, soil erosion, sediment control, and landscaping.
• Estimate quantities and materials, equipment, or labor costs to determine project feasibility.
• Assist in stormwater management design.
• Perform construction support services, including providing timely data, shop drawing review, and client coordination.
• Partner with your manager to tailor your career path towards YOUR vision - a technical design expert or project/staff management

What You'll Need:

• The ability to learn quickly, strong communication skills, and a solid work ethic

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• Engineer-in-Training Certification
• Experience in site/civil design w/ 1-3 years' experience
• Familiarity with government rules and regulations for stormwater management design

Practical experience with civil engineering software (AutoCAD Civil3D)
