Colliers Engineering & Design in Holmdel, NJ seeks an Engineering Designer (0-2 years) to support the Civil/Site team on solar, residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use land development projects. You will assist with feasibility, planning, stormwater, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion control, and permitting, using AutoCAD Civil 3D under senior guidance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0-2 years of site/civil land development experience.
• EIT preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepare construction drawings, plans, and project specifications.

• Ensure technical accuracy and proper documentation of plans, reports, and design documents.

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Engineering Designer with 0-2 years of experience for our Civil/Site team in Holmdel, NJ! You will play a key role in the design and development of solar, residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use land development projects. Responsibilities include site feasibility and conceptual planning, stormwater management, grading, drainage, utility design, erosion and sediment control, and permitting. As an Engineering Designer (E.I.T.) you may also conduct permitting research, due diligence, write specifications and reports. Our Engineering Designers will work within Autocad Civil 3D and alongside the design team managers, and other Disciplines, to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings, plans, and project specifications.
• Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, grading plans, street improvements, utilities and specifications.
• Ensure technical accuracy, compliance with standard engineering practices, and proper documentation of all plans, reports, and design documents.
• Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and propose solutions, with guidance from senior engineers and project managers.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
• Assist in performing basic stormwater calculations and reporting.
• Plot and assemble civil engineering plans and reports.
• Assist other departments with engineering and technical support needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0-2+ years of experience in site/civil land development or related engineering fields.
• EIT preferred.
• Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations.
• Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other site development related designs.
• Demonstrated Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion.
• Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Salary: $79,420 - $93,280 per year (depending on qualifications)
