Job summary

The Oregon Department of Justice’s Division of Child Support (DCS) is seeking to hire a Child Support Case Manager (Entry) for our Hillsboro Office. You will review documents, gather information, and establish/enforce orders to support families in Oregon.

Core skills include attention to detail, consistency, and organization, with opportunities to grow within the Department of Justice. This is a permanent, full-time role with excellent benefits and a path to advanced positions.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience working with the public in person or by phone.
• Experience with personal computers, web-based applications, and MS Office.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review case documents to determine if a child support order is needed.
• Contact customers to gather information to establish and enforce orders.
• Establish, modify, enforce, and provide accounting records for child support orders.
• Apply federal and state laws, rules, and agency policies.
• Verify payments are disbursed and state claims are accurate.
• Request and evaluate paternity declarations; file legal documents.
• Process modification requests and gather wage/health care data.
• Research child support guidelines to calculate obligations.
