Medical Devices and Supplies is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Manufacturing Chemist I for an onsite role in Scarborough, ME. The position focuses on manufacturing and testing reagents used in infectious disease diagnostics and enzyme assays, requiring a chemistry or life sciences background and strong quality focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience through academic research, internships, or professional employment.
• Familiarity with Pipetting, Spectrophotometry, pH Measurement, and analytical testing.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety, quality control procedures, and scientific documentation.
• Ability to follow established SOPs and perform laboratory tasks with accuracy and consistency.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and collaborate in a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and basic laboratory data management.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture biological reagents according to SOPs.
• Perform in-process quality control testing, inspections, titrations, and material qualifications.
• Conduct laboratory testing using pipettes, spectrophotometers, pH meters, and analytical instruments.
• Support manufacturing production schedules and maintain supply of reagents.
• Follow GMP, GLP, and established quality systems.
• Investigate manufacturing issues, troubleshoot processes, and identify improvements.
• Develop and follow laboratory protocols to support product improvements.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results, and manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and maintain quality.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and support new manufacturing processes.
