Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services seeks a qualified analytical chemist to perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analyses of APIs and finished products. You will independently run HPLC, IC, IR, ICP, DSC, UV/Vis, and related methods in a GMP environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry/biology or equivalent, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Monday–Friday, with travel possible.

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks, follow GMP, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of APIs and finished pharmaceutical products.
• Operate chromatographic systems and a range of analytical instruments (HPLC, IC, IR, ICP, UV/Vis).
• Prepare samples, set up new analytical processes, and maintain GMP documentation.
• Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment and participate in method transfer protocols.

Job Description

• Applicants MUST have authorization to work in the United States INDEFINITELY without restriction or sponsorship*

Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products (tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, aerosols, liquids, creams, and gels).

• Run the instrumentation independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer (Coulometric and Volumetric), UV/Spec, various wet chemistry analyses, HPLC, IC, IR, ICP, AA, TGP, DSC, PDA, auto-titrators, TLC, and dissolution apparatus
• Preparing samples for analysis and running some instrumentation with minimum supervision
• Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis
• Execute method transfer protocols
• Document work as required for GMP compliance
• Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm with additional hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply. Up to 25% travel may be required.
