Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Biotechnologist I in Portsmouth, NH, on-site to support Cell Therapy manufacturing. This entry-level role assists with manufacturing operations, transfers, equipment readiness, training, and continuous improvement within a safe, compliant environment.

You will rotate 12-hour shifts, gain training in safety, gowning, monitoring, and documentation, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and MSAT to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• GMP/biotechnology experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of cGMP and cleanroom operations preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations in safety, quality, and cGMP compliance.
• Perform cleaning activities and keep spaces inspection-ready.
• Complete training in safety, gowning, material movement, environmental monitoring, and processes.
• Support technical transfer activities, including training and engineering runs.
• Assist with creation, review, and updating of manufacturing documentation.
• Learn and support customer processes transferred to Portsmouth facility.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, MSAT, and other teams to meet milestones.
