Job summary

Customs and Border Protection seeks new CBPOs to join a nationwide force protecting borders and enforcing laws. You will be part of the federal law enforcement cadre with career ladder opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time general work experience demonstrating ability to meet and deal with people.
• A bachelor’s degree or completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree; or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Enforce customs, immigration and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances; determine admissibility into the United States.
• Prevent illicit entry and smuggling of prohibited goods.
