Job summary

NFP, an Aon company, is expanding its team with an in-office underwriting administrative role in Sandy Springs, GA. You will assist with initial underwriting for cannabis accounts and gather essential information for new business and renewals.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance (preferred), strong math/analytical skills, and is eager to learn in a high-growth environment. Insurance experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Risk Management & Insurance.
• Highly self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-growth environment.
• Willingness to learn quickly in a constantly evolving environment.
• Strong math and analytical skills with an emphasis on problem-solving.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and G-Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Review applications and perform initial underwriting for cannabis accounts.
• Identifying and gathering relevant account information for new business and renewal policy activity.
• Participate with Underwriters in the renewal and new business activities that support marketing and underwriting decisions that are consistent with growth and retention goals.
• Process endorsements, policy changes, and account renewals.
• Assess clients’ current insurance placements for strengths and deficiencies.
• Work directly with specialized insurance brokers to develop business relationships.
• Scheduling inspections and monitoring for compliance with recommendations.
• Manage account documentation.
