Job summary

BCPAO is seeking an entry-level cadastral mapping professional to support the GIS and Cadastral Services team. Under the Senior Director of GIS and Cadastral Services, you will perform skilled geospatial work for the development and maintenance of official tax maps.

This is a face-to-face, on-site role and requires accurate data handling and collaboration with multiple agencies. Ideal candidates have GIS proficiency and a relevant degree, with Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Technical or a college degree (Associates or Bachelors) in geography, geographic information science, geomatics or a related field.
• Proficiency in GIS and mapping software such as ESRI’s ArcGIS.
• Preferred: Cadastral designations (CCF/CCM/MCF) or GISP at hire.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to obtain within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Research and compile data to resolve discrepancies in boundaries and land titles; analyze geographic and land use information from multiple sources.
• Create and maintain tax assessment maps using cadastral mapping methods, GIS, and CAMA systems; update maps with surveys and deeds.
• Assist PAO staff, the public, and agencies with parcel identification and delineation for map accuracy.
• Assist with map and data sales; perform custom research and create custom maps or exhibits as directed.
• Perform any other related duties as required.
