Job summary

Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan, TX is seeking an entry-level Tract Bid Draftsman I to draft and maintain bid and planning documents in support of the Development Team. You will work closely with the Tract Bid Department Manager to ensure accurate cabinet designs, proper clearances, and timely bid revisions.

The role requires basic computer and math skills, blueprint literacy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend construction blueprints.
• Strong mathematical and computer skills for drafting and bid calculations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage distractions.

Responsibilities

• Draft, provide and maintain bid and planning documents in conformance with company standards for graphics, text and information processing.
• Provide necessary shop details explaining unusual or non-standard features on cabinets.
• Assure that all cabinets are designed and sized properly for correct installation and operation.
• Assure proper clearances for door swing operation of customer appliances.
• Must be able to meet qualitative and quantitative output of bids and change orders within the scheduled time period.
• Must be able to identify problems with own area and assist in implementing solutions.
• Work and communicate effectively with other departments, especially Sales and Production, to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Occasional travel to other KMC facilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
