Job summary

Akuna Capital in Illinois is seeking an entry-level C++ Software Engineer to join high-performance teams building low-latency trading systems. You’ll contribute to multi-threaded, distributed C++ applications that power our core market-making and liquidity provision.

You’ll start with day-to-day maintenance and small projects, learning from Quant and Trading partners, with training provided and a clear path to advanced responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in a technical field (computer science/engineering, math, physics, or equivalent)
• Graduating by August 2027
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as of the first day of employment, including F-1 students using OPT or STEM

Responsibilities

• Work on high-performance C++ systems that power the firm’s core trading operations.
• Join small-to-medium teams and interface with Quant and Trading to implement solutions.
• Maintain reliability, efficiency, and scalability of multi-threaded, distributed systems.
