Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC seeks an Entry Level Building Performance Specialist in New York to contribute to greenhouse gas analysis, renewable energy systems, and high-performance HVAC design. You will draft and model using Revit, AutoCAD, TRACE, and IES, supporting project teams from planning through construction administration.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning across the project lifecycle, strong analytical skills, and collaboration within a modern, sustainable engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain EIT
• Internship experience preferred
• Proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD, TRACE, IES
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication and organization
• Time management and teamwork skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of mechanical system design, modeling and documentation
• Develop proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD as design/drafting tools
• Provide task-based support building performance analysis, greenhouse gas analysis, renewable energy systems, district planning, HVAC and plumbing
• Understand drawings, specifications, codes, and mechanical standards
• Complete assigned work with guidance from project team
• Assist with construction administration
• Perform mechanical calculations and simulations
• Design layout of mechanical systems
• Perform other duties as assigned
