Job summary

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering in Lenexa, KS is seeking an entry-level Building Mechanical Engineer to support the KAE group in establishing and applying company standards for MEP design. You will assist with equipment sizing, layout, and coordination with other disciplines on industrial and office projects.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering, with 0–2 years of experience and familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering (MEP focus) or Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA above 3.0 preferred.
• Passed FE exam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand building mechanical systems and MEP concepts.
• Support system design, equipment sizing and selection under guidance.
• Prepare production drawings for lighting, power, HVAC, plumbing for bids.
• Assist with technical bid analysis reviews.
• Verify HVAC and plumbing installation against specifications during construction.
• Review 3D models for interferences and constructability.
