Sunpro in Lindon, UT, seeks a Junior Building Materials Estimator to support material takeoffs and estimates in line with client specifications and SPC objectives. You will learn to estimate building materials using approved software, read blueprints, and generate accurate material quantities under supervision.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent, 1+ years in construction, and a detail-oriented, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building material estimating processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints.
• Familiarity with local building codes related to materials.
• Shows initiative and can work with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Visualize and assist in estimating building materials per specs.
• Learn estimating software and ensure standards compliance.
• Provide accurate material quantities for estimates.
• Read layouts and determine location-specific material needs.
• Support takeoff tracking using Bistrack software.
• Read blueprints accurately.
• Assist sales with on-site support when requested.
• Participate in company training programs and follow safety policies.
