Job summary

Island Operating in Danville, Illinois, is seeking an entry-level operator to join our team. The role involves monitoring upstream and downstream facilities, performing routine tasks, and loading/offloading products from tankers. On-site orientation and safety training will be provided.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of experience, basic knowledge of pumps/valves, and is equipped with steel-toed boots. Chelsea will supply additional PPE as needed for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Entry level, 0-2 yrs of experience required.
• Has basic knowledge of Chevron policies and practices is a plus
• Some experience in manufacturing setting
• Basic knowledge of operating pumps and valves
• Must have steel toed boots, Chevron will provide additional PPE

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors company plants and facilities, typically Upstream facilities after primary separation and processing (such as gas and co-gen plants) and Downstream & Chemical refineries and plants.
• Monitors process variables, troubleshoots, and performs interventions to maintain operating performance.
• Performs routine tasks independently.
• General supervision of non-routine work.
• Loading / Offloading finished products and raw materials from tankers into storage tanks

Schedule

• 5/40 Rotational Roster –
• Night shift – hours will be 5pm – 1am M – F (selected candidate will need to be on day shift for a few days after starting to complete onsite safety orientation)
• No regular OT/weekend work - may be the opportunity throughout assignment
