Job summary

Microbial Discovery Group in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level Bioprocess Technician to support fermentation, drying, and downstream processing of Bacillus bacteria in a GMP environment. You will operate production equipment under supervision, follow SOPs and batch records, and maintain safety, quality, and documentation throughout manufacturing.

You will assist with loading and harvesting bioreactor tanks, material handling for freezing and downstream steps, and keep accurate production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written SOPs and work instructions with attention to detail.
• Basic math and data entry for production records.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work safely with chemicals and PPE.
• Team-based communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, setting up, and harvesting bioreactor tanks per SOPs and batch records.
• Fill slurry product into trays and perform freezing with proper labeling.
• Load frozen slurry into storage freezers and move materials to downstream areas.
• Operate basic production equipment safely after training.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs.
• Follow cGMP, HACCP, FSMA, and OSHA safety procedures.
