Job summary

Old Harbor Solutions in Linthicum Heights, MD is seeking an Entry Level Ballistics Evidence Technician to perform image and correlation reviews on NIBIN equipment after training from the ATF or an authorized trainer. You will also enter traces into e-Trace and input data into charts, spreadsheets, and reports.

Qualifications

• US citizen with a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain ATF clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; combination of education and experience considered.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and coordinate with law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct entries and perform image and correlation reviews on NIBIN equipment after training.
• Enter traces into e-Trace.
• Enter data into charts, spreadsheets, reports, and systems.
• Triage cartridge casings for entry into IBIS.
• Enter evidence into IBIS.
• Perform image and correlation reviews.
• Produce basic analytical products.
• Summarize information in writing.
• Establish rapport with others to accomplish objectives.
• Utilize NESS for daily entry of local RMS event info and reporting results.
• Handle, operate, and test fire firearms following safety procedures.
