Job summary

Willis Automotive, a family-owned automotive group in Des Moines, IA, is seeking an Entry Level Technician in Urbandale. Under supervision, you will perform preventative maintenance on customer and fleet vehicles and help with basic service tasks.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and basic hand-tool knowledge. This is a full-time on-site role offering benefits, training, and growth within a values-driven shop.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary training program preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured
• Working knowledge of proper use of hand tools
• Intermediate customer-service skills
• Ability to demonstrate above-average mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, performing tune-ups, checking fluid levels and rotating tires; replace or repair worn parts, including brake pads and wheel bearings using common hand tools.
• Disassemble and reassemble parts
• Complete all associated records and reports timely and accurately
