America's Auto Auction in Houston, TX 77009 is seeking an Entry-Level Automotive Technician/Mechanic. The role focuses on diagnosing and servicing vehicles with a daytime Monday–Friday schedule and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, engine work, and routine maintenance while maintaining a safe, clean shop and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Able to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers.
• Diagnose, inspect, repair and service mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of cars, vans and light trucks.
• Perform engine tune-ups and diagnose faults to determine required repairs.
• Replace or repair parts and components as needed.
• Oversee cleaning, lubrication and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Disassemble, overhaul and reassemble engines and major units as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and work well independently or as a team.
• Communicate issues promptly to management to protect operations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities for Entry-Level Automotive Technician/Mechanic

• Always provide efficient and courteous service to all customers.
• Diagnoses, coordinates inspection, repair and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components of cars, vans, and light trucks.
• Carries out complex engine tune-ups, diagnose complicated faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repairs required.
• Adjusts, repairs, or replaces parts and components.
• Oversee the cleaning, lubricating and other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• Disassemble, overhaul, and reassemble engines and other major units as necessary.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area free of safety hazards.
• Work well independently as well as a team player.
• Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management.
• Performs other duties as necessary.

• Monday - Thursday 9-6
• Friday 9-4
