Job summary

DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking an Automotive Technician in Taylor, MI to perform basic repairs, routine maintenance, and emissions testing on our inventory vehicles. You will document all work in our systems and ensure accurate vehicle movement and compliance.

You must have a High School Diploma or GED, with automotive tech certification or 2+ years repair experience and a valid driver's license. A safety-focused mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to meet performance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; automotive tech cert/assoc preferred.
• Certificate or Associates degree in automotive technology or 2+ years repair experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to meet metric performance targets.
• Excellent communication and safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for basic vehicle repairs and maintenance, performing emissions testing (state inspections where applicable), vehicle movement, inventory management, repair documentation and computer utilization.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on inventory vehicles.
• Explain automotive repairs and issues to management to minimize re-work and delays in production.
• Proper documentation of all work performed in DT systems.
• Keep area clean and organized to maintain highest level of safety and compliance.
