Job summary

Capistrano Volkswagen in San Juan Capistrano is seeking a friendly Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and inspections, and to advise on repairs with the Service Advisor. We provide paid training, tools, and a professional shop environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean DMV record.
• Strong customer service focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to multi-task effectively in a workshop setting.
• Basic automotive mechanical knowledge.
• Able to operate computers.
• Willing to pass background check and drug screen.
• Able to lift 75 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance, e.g., changing engine oil, filters, and rotating tires
• Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspections including, replacing tires, batteries, filters, and all fluid levels.
• Communicate appropriate customer vehicle repair and maintenance recommendations to the Service Advisor.
• Complete Volkswagen Training as directed, both online and at Volkswagen training academy
• Perform other duties as assigned

The estimated hourly rate for this position is $18-$22/hr based on experience.
