Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an entry-level Associate Automation Specialist for on-site support in Anasco, Puerto Rico. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Automation, Robotics, CS or related field or on track to complete by Dec 2026
0-2 years of relevant experience required
Internship, apprenticeship, co-op, or hands-on technical experience valued
Experience with PLC or industrial control systems preferred
Exposure to GMP, data integrity, or regulated environment preferred

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on automation and OT support for manufacturing operations during the assigned shift
Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, sensor, communication, computer, networking issues
Perform routine system checks, backups, and basic testing per procedures
Document work, communicate equipment status, and support shift handoffs
Execute preventive maintenance on automated equipment and OT systems
Identify recurring issues and suggest reliability improvements
Follow safety, quality, change-control, and cybersecurity requirements
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, IT, and suppliers
Support automation projects, upgrades, testing, and startup activities
