Job summary

Magnum Systems in Evansville, IN is seeking an entry-level Automation Engineer to help develop and deploy industrial control and information systems while building foundational skills.

You will participate in on-site project delivery, documentation, and commissioning activities, and collaborate with a team to learn ECS project methods, tools, and standards. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Technology B.S. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Manufacturing or related field.
• Exposure to control and information systems used in manufacturing.
• Elementary knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, motor controls, and relay theory.
• Basic understanding of industrial controllers, computers, and networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined design and development tasks for industrial control and data applications under guidance.
• Develop project technical documentation as directed.
• Participate on site installation and commissioning teams.
• Provide field service and site engineering support as assigned.
• Develop applications in accordance with established best practices and system safety conventions.
• Execute test protocols and document results.
• Participate in design reviews and deliverable approvals.
• Seek guidance, communicate progress, and incorporate feedback.
