Job summary

Fields Auto Group is offering an excellent entry-level technician position in the Chicago land area. This role provides hands-on training, opportunities for growth, and a pathway to ASE certification through company-supported programs.

The successful candidate will work in a busy dealership service department, learn testing and diagnostic procedures, and contribute to high-quality customer service while building a career in the automotive field.

Qualifications

• Dealership environment experience is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to use diagnostic tools and learn service procedures.
• Interest in automotive industry and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work on vehicles in accordance with service procedures.
• Assist Service Advisor in road tests and diagnostic testing.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, A/C, etc).
• Communicate inspection results and give time estimates to the Service Advisor.
• Complete warranty work following manufacturer specifications.
