Team Car Care Dba Jiffy Lube in Glenwood, IL is seeking a General Service Technician to service guest vehicles and gain certification through our training program. This role starts at an entry level with dedicated mentoring and opportunities for advancement.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, helping guests with vehicle care while building a career path within the company. Benefits include 401K, bonuses, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience in any setting.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Effective communication skills with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic, dependable and a team player.
• Physically able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending/squatting.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on-time guest care during all hours.
• Provide excellent guest service with clear communication about guest vehicles.
• Keep the service center clean and presentable.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level technicians.
• Check oil level and communicate with teammates.
• Ensure proper tire pressure for inflation.
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
• Complete vehicle inspections and document work.
• Install oil drain plug and oil filter.
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed.
• Document all work on repair orders.
• Report safety issues to management immediately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
